Niños deshuesados

Buenos Dias!!! First off, just wanted to wish Addie a happy birthday this last Thursday!! Love ya!! :)
This week has been another amazing, miracle filled week!! It's gotten a bit colder, but all is well! :) First off I want to share the big, amazing miracle we had this week!
So last Monday we were walking to our Recent Convert Friend Orlando's house. He's from Peru, and is actually a really good barber! So we were on our way to some nice fresh cuts. There was a guy on a bike coming up behind us, so we stepped out of the way to let him pass. But instead he slows down till he's stopped right next to us and asks, "Are you the Elders?" We said ya we are, not too sure what to expect haha. If someone asks you that question, they're either a member or crazy anti. But he then introduces himself as Abraham. We talk more with him as we're walking, and find out he's a student here from Mexico!! He went to study in San Francisco and that's where he first started learning about the church. He was very involved there and learned a TON. He then went back to Mexico, and tried to keep going to church, but found it too hard. He just recently moved here, and was thinking a lot about the church and how he wanted to come back. He said a prayer that morning that he would run into the Elders, and then he found us!! We took him with us to Orlando's house, and him and Orlando are bros! They just spoke in Spanish to each other for most of it, and it was great! We've been able to meet with him a lot this week, and he came to church yesterday, and is now on date to be baptised on the 19th!! He is so prepared, and I'm so grateful God put him in our path!!
In other news, Daisy came to church again this week and is loving it! We'll be meeting her tomorrow and getting a plan in place for her to be ready for her baptism!! :)) We were able to have dinner with her at a members house this week. The wife is from Taiwan and speaks Mandarin, and they have very similar backgrounds, so it was amazing for them to talk and share experiences! We're so exited for her!
And we also had our new friend Emanuele come along to church this week! He just came this week from Italy, and is so funny! His English is alright, but still kinda hard to get things through to him haha. But he is nice and we'll be meeting more with him this week!
So all in all a really good week! I love being out here and doing the Lord's work, and am excited to see what this week holds!! D&C 121:34-46, great read. I love you all and hope you have a great week!!

  1. Belief is the reason we go on a mission. It is the motive for preaching about Christ and sharing/Proclaiming his love. Faith is understanding we are children of God and our Heavenly Father. May the definition of faith bless you in life Faith is defined again and because faith has an inherent joy it gives us a solid foundation that we finally have the peace we have been searching for.

"Many believer's feed themselves on what God hasn't done. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I create the atmosphere for the spirit of offense to arise and to thrive. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I legitimize unbelief. I live with a sense of justification, for not believing God.

Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance. even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance

Heaven is a place where everyone is celebrated, some are more honored but everyone is celebrated. All men and all women shall be judged on the light which they have received. Heaven is a permissible culture. God's nature is eternally permissible. These statements protect us from credit.

Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance, even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done. Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance. Faith doesn't deny a problems existence, it denies it's influence. He or she was someone whom aridity and desolation never disturbed for he or she had a deeply rooted, and a vigorous faith.

Now we can act as we have always dreamed. Now we can act as we have always been. Now we can step into the light and gather the sunlight instead of blocking out our possibilities. Instead of blocking out our joy. Variety will bloom in/under the sun. We can show off our best, we can enjoy other people's gifts. We can blossom where we stand upon the joy that faith provides us. Upon the joy that faith inherently has, which blossoms the entire field of flowers"
