Welcome to the 60s!

Hey Everyone!! This week I got a taste of the true old fashioned missionary work! Our phone broke, like totally doesn't make or receive anything. So that means we couldn't really call or text anyone! We have a new phone on the way, but until then we're stuck with the land line at the church for all our calling needs. But hey it makes for quite a good story haha! Monday we did survive the storm, although there were a lot of trees blown down in the roads and roofs blown off. We made it home safely though and then the Zone leader texted us (before the phone broke) and told us that we should be safe, but were to proselyte the remainder of the night. So we went out chapping doors in the aftermath of it all! We got a lot of people asking why the (bleep) we were out in this storm, but hey we got to spread the good word somehow!!
Tuesday and Wednesday we were on exchanges with the Zone Leaders, and that was fun as always. The STL's were actually on exchanges with the sisters in Cork too, so there were 10 missionaries hitting the streets of Cork those two days! So hopefully that helped the work there go along! Thee remainder of the week was mostly finding since we really couldn't set anything up without a phone. But we were able to meet with the part member family that we met last week. The reason he fell away is because of bad experiences with the members in Spain, and so he now wants us to prove to him and his wife why it is true and basically everything about the gospel. Hopefully we can help him see that we're not the teaachers, the spirit is. Also another crazy miracle is the same Argentinian family that has come to church with the Espejos in the past came again this last Sunday! After a great lesson on the plan of Salvation in Gospel Principles, we were able to talk with her and tell her we'd love to meet with her and her family at the Espejo;s and talk more about God's plan for us! They said they'd love to, and we hope to meet them this Wednesday night! So crazy how the Lord's hand is truly in everything we do. This last week I was also able to read the book The Continuous Atonement. There is so much good stuff in that book, and it truly made me so grateful for the Savior's Atonement and the role it plays in all of our lives. I love MY Jesus, and I love this gospel! I hope you all have a great week, and thank you for all of your support!
