MANOK

Hello Everyone!! This week has been AMAZING!! Seriously one of the greatest weeks of the mission so far! But we'll start from the beginning.
Monday we were in Cork for the day on exchanges. We were able to play some sport with the missionaries there, and also visited a really cool church there. We were able to play the bells there, and we were blessing Cork with some beautiful hymns. I'll try to send a video! That night was a pretty wild one. We were finding in Cork, and it was a holiday, and there was a huge festival going on, so it was a pretty crazy crowd out. Suffice it to say, the priestesses of Babylon were out and on the hunt haha. But we made it back safe so that was good.
Tuesday we had a great district meeting, and then went out to lunch after as a district. Then me and Elder Anderson went out and had a solid 4 hours of finding, no breaks! It was a bit tiring, but we actually found a lot of great potentials for them. Then at 5 all the missionaries were told to be indoors, cause Halloween here starts early, and gets pretty wild! So from there all of the missionaries in Cork and us went to the chapel and just had a really fun evening! We played some games, made breakfast for dinner, and just talked. It was super fun!
Wednesday we came back to Waterford, and had to take the car into the shop to get the front fixed up. That evening we taught Winny, our investigator from Taiwan. She loved church this last Sunday, and is starting to see the peace that comes from the gospel! We're still trying to help her find her answer, but she's definitely moving in the right direction! Also, while we were waiting for Winny, we were talking with a less active and his friend we met on the street. Then the friend started saying how he was actually really interested in what we had to say, and wanted to come to church! We told him we'd love to meet with him and explain what we believe, and he said he'd love that! So there was a huge miracle!
Thursday was when things got interesting. In the morning we had a lesson with the pastor we met in another persons house last week. I don't know if you remember the story, but he's a super cool guy. We didn't have much time, but he loved what we shared about the Holy Ghost and how it's the real teacher, so hopefully all goes well in the future! We then met with Dion and his Grandmother, and I think we're starting to make progress with his grandmother! It may take some time, but I know she really does like what she's hearing. Later that evening, I decided I needed to make sure we were still good to meet with our lees active we had planned for that night. I went to text him, and the phone was doing the same thing it did last time. It just quite working on us. And boy was I upset haha! It was super hard for me to understand why this was happening to us! But, through an amazing blessing from my companion and the spirit, I realized that my attitude was the one thing that I had control over. So me and Elder Barlow decided that, even if we didn't know why this was happening, we were gonna go out and do our best. And in the next day that followed, we found some of our most solid investigators yet! It was an amazing lesson for me to learn, and I'm so grateful for a loving heavely Father who really looks out for us!
Friday was a day of finding. First off we were able to get our car back, which was great! Then throughout our finding we found so many cool people I can't wait to teach! We met with Alanna in the evening, and she actually had another friend there! So it kinda was just a Q and A, but still good to clarify some of the misconceptions of Mormons haha.
Saturday was amazing! In the morning we went to the church to make our calls for the day, cause our phone was still busted. Then out of nowhere when we got there, the phone started working again!! This was such a testimony builder to me that sometimes the Lord puts trials in our lives just so we can learn a lesson. We then went out finding a little bit, then in the afternoon we met with Michael, the Less actives friend we found earlier in the week. Turns out that he was actually a Pagan, but is now turning back to Christianity! So he had some strange views on some things, but at the same time is super sincere and even asked us how he can join the church! So we're super excited to work with him. In the evening we went and had dinner with the Espejo family, and they're truly an amazing family! And they brought their non member friends with them, so that was amazing!
Sunday was.... interesting haha. We went to the church and got everything set up like we normally do in the morning. Then as I was sitting there playing the piano, I looked at the clock and it was 10 till, and we were the only ones there!! Needless to say, it was a pretty small turn up this week haha. But it was a great testimony meeting nonetheless, and Dion actually played the piano again, so that was great! After church we went and met with Lisa, who wasn't feeling good enough to come to church, and we just kinda retaught the Sunday school lesson. That evening was actually another night we had to come into our flats early. it's something called Guy Fawkes night? I'm still not sure what it is, but they told us we had to be in our flats by 6, that was a short end to the day.
As you can see, this week has been an amazing one!! I'm so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who loves us enough to cut us down, so we an be the better because of it!! I love this work, and I LOVE IRELAND!! I know this is where I need to be. Love you all, and hope you have a great week!
