Only in Irvine

Hello everyone!! This week has been a roller coaster, but things started to turn up at the end of the week so that was good! On Wednesday we were able to go to something called a District Cluster in Glasgow. Basically it is a big huge district meeting made up of all the Paisley and Glasgow zone, so that was amazing! President gave us an amazing instruction, and helped me to see that the things we teach as missionaries can just as easily be applied to us as missionaries than to our investigators. And I got to ride on the train up and back with Elder Allen and his comp, so that was amazing! Thursday was when things got a little tough. I started to get a little sick, and it got COLD! Like crazy cold. The temperature might not have been that low, but it rained/snowed/hailed everyday this week. And when you combine cold and wet, it just gets even colder haha! But this was the weather I was told about, so can't complain haha. So Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the weather was just kinda miserable, at least for a farm boy used to 110 heat and no rain all year! Our baptism we had planned for this week was cancelled because Alex got called into work, so that was pretty rough. Honestly it was a rough week, but Saturday night things started to turn around! We were in a town called Saltcoats, and decided to try by a former investigators house. We knocked on their door, and they let us in! We talked to them, and they told us that they want to come back to church, and wanted to meet with us! So that was a huge miracle we saw. The next came the next day at Church. We walked in to priesthood (They do the meetings backwards here haha) And sitting there was another former investigator! His name is John, and he had been reached out to by a member and come to church with him! So we talked with him, and he said that the circumstances at home that had caused him to drop us were changing, and he wanted to meet with us! So that was another big miracle! And the last came on the bus ride back to our flat last night. We got on, and in walks a Less Active member we had seen a few days earlier! He told us that he's sorry he had to cancel his last meeting with us, and would love to meet with us!
This week was a big learning one for me. I learned that sometimes we're gonna have hard weeks, but as we strive to do all that we can, the Lord will bless us! I love the Savior, and I love this work I'm doing! I hope you all have a great week!!
